Stash-Busting!!

I have decided to use the month of January to finish off my partial skeins. Most of them are bulky type yarns that I have leftover from other projects. I am also trying to do the same with my wool stash. So I have been making hats with the bulky and squares with the wool. I haven't taken picures of the squares yet, just the hats. So far I have finished 9 partial skeins. Not bad. Here are the hats,

2011 Round-Up

Well I didn't meet my goal of making 500 items for charity this year. I ended up making about 345.  Maybe for 2012 I'll challenge myself to making so many of an item, like 50 sweaters. Here is a breakdown of some of what I did this year:

Baby Hats-157
Newborn Blankets-13
Preemie Blankets- 10
Sweater Sets- 29
Booties- 12

I wish you all a very Happy New Year!!!

I have been on a sweater making kick this week. I have two more that still need buttons. I also completed 50 Christmas hats and 4 preemie sleep sacks, you can check them out at BellasBabies.org.

Loom Knit Scarf

After trying several knit scarf patterns with this yarn I finally settled on using my loom to knit it.  I think it really shows off the colorway of the yarn which was getting lost in the hand knit patterns I tried. The scarf is finished I just need to take a picture. I have another skein of the yarn and think I will use it to knit myself a slouchy hat.

I put some new things up at my Etsy shop today. What do you think? There are some holiday candle coasters and a set of wine bottle toppers.
