Preemie Daygown or Burial Gown
This gown is for a 2 lb. preemie. It can be used with the opening in the front for a daygown. Or open down the back for a burial garment. It is a simple pattern. I used Patons Beehive Baby Sport yarn. It is very soft and perfect for this sort of garment. Please check with the hospital you donate to, to see if they dress the preemies. Most do not. One of the ones I donate to only uses the daygowns for the holidays to dress the babies up for their parents. Done with the opening in the back this would make a nice burial gown for boys since it is just simple double-crochet, not at all frilly. Size F hook Baby or sport weight yarn.
