I started with Sammy Hagar "I Can't Drive 55" and Angela, my spoilee, came back with Sheryl Crow "Everyday is a Winding Road" and my last pick is the Beatles "Drive my Car". Ok Angela that gives you an "R" to work with. Have fun!!

Sweaters and prge

These sweaters were made by Alana in Australia. She used my pattern but as you can see she fancied them up a bit. They are just beautiful. If you want to share pictures of anything you've made from my patterns I would love to see and share them with everyone. Just email them to me.

PRGE contest #2

Sorry I'm a little late with this, for our next contest we are supposed to send a song to our spoilee and they are supposed to send a song back. The trick is that they have to use the last letter of your song as the first letter of theirs.
So to Angela, I send "I Can't drive 55" by Sammy Hagar since we are both big NASCAR fans.

And as reply to Tianne who sent "Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row I send back to you, "Dirty Deeds" by AC/DC. In keeping with the 80's rock thing.


On the knitting front I am still plugging away on the Socks for Mom. It seems like it take so long doing 2 at a time but when I am done I will have a pair of socks not just one. I have about 3/4 of an inch to go and then I can do the toe.

I went to AC Moore last night and bought 30 skeins of Red Heart to make baby blankets on my knitting machine. 2 skeins gets me a blanket. It was on sale otherwise I wouldn't have bought so much. Plus I asked Dad for a donation and he ended up giving me double what I asked for.
Well I guess I should go get that machine humming, I have a month to turn all of that yarn into blankets.

Where does the time go...

I've got lots of pics to share with you today. I finally got caught up on my picture taking.

Lets start with my prize from the PRGE. My secret pal won the contest where we had to pick projects to go with your pals fave songs. Well she won with my songs so I got a prize too.

There is a skein of Tofutsies yarn that I have been wanting to try. Handmade cards and some little skull and crossbones stitch markers. I LOVE my prize!!!!

Now here is the baby stuff I have been working on...

And finally some sock knitting. The first picture is of my first pair of socks knit at the same time on 2 circulars. The second picture is of the socks I'm working on for mom to make up for the first pair that was mismatched and too small. Don't worry Mom they will both be the same size this time!!! and hopefully the right size too. I have made more progress than the picture shows, I've done both heels and am well on my way on the foot. I hope to have them done by tomorrow night.
