Pink bonnet is made with Patons Beehive baby
Blue bonnet is Bernat Softee Baby
Chain 4, join to form ring.
Round 1: ch 2, 11 dc in ring, join.
Round 2: ch 2, dc in same st, *2dc in each st around. join
Round 3: ch 2, dc in same st, *1dc in next st, 2dc in next. Repeat from * around. join
Round 4: ch 2, dc in same st, *1dc in next 2 sts, 2dc in next. Repeat from* around. join
Round 5: ch 2, dc in next 40 sts. TURN
Boys version (Blue one)
Round 6-10: ch2, dc in each st, turn.
Round 11: ch 1, sc in each dc across. 3sc in last st, now working across bottom edge put 2sc in
each sideways dc and 1 sc in each unworked dc and 2sc in the rest of the side sts.
Row 12: this forms the row to weave the ribbon closure thru. Sc in first st, ch 1, skip 1 st, sc in next across. Sc in last st. finish off.
Girls version (pink one)
Row 6: ch 2, skip one st, *V-st (dc,ch1,dc) in next st, sk one st, dc in next, sk one st. Repeat from * across. Turn
Row 7-10: ch 2, *V-st in ch1 sp of V-st below, skip one dc, dc in next. Repeat from * across.
Row 11: Ch 2, *work 5dc in previous V-st, sk 1 dc, sc in next. Repeat from * across, ending with dc in top of ch 2. Ch 1 now working across neckline, put 2sc in each sideways dc and 1 sc in each unworked dc and 2sc in the rest of the side sts.
Row 12: this forms the row to weave the ribbon closure thru. Sc in first st, ch 1, skip 1 st, sc in next across. Sc in last st. finish off.
