Hi, Kelly!
I´d like to say that I´m totally in LOVE with all your crochet patterns for babies!! They´re gorgeous and so easy to do! your tutorials are great!! I was looking for baby cardigans for a first try and was so, so happy when I found yours!! I´m finishing my first one and when it´s done I´ll invite you to see the photos on my blog. By the way, would you allow me to translate the Baby cardigan pattern into Portuguese and post it on my blog in order to other people understand it and do it? Of course I link it to the original post, on your blog.

I'm doing the sweater with ruffled bottom. I did it with the g7 hook and it would fit a sm doll. So I started over and used a J hook and it made it a little bigger. But I really love this sweater, This is the first one I have ever made. How can I make a larger one. Increasing chain? or Do you Have a pattern for a larger one of these? Thank You.

Hi Nettie, I don't know what size you are trying to make so here is a suggestion.
Make my pullover pattern, just don't join it, when you get to the bottom just add the ruffle.
Heres the link:

The sweater that I'm working on is the one That uses Snuggly Wuggly Yarn It is Pink and it ties at the neck. It has ruffles on the sleeves and on the bottom. This is the one i would like to try to make it bigger like a size for 6months or 12 months.

Yes, I know which one you are talking about. All the sweater patterns I have start the same way.So the only suggestion that I have is the one I gave you yesterday.

Hi kelley,
I have made 3 sweaters now and they are so easy I love them. I have to young nieces that are both having girls so I made one for each of them plus I made for for my daughter that with be 3 in July but she can wear a 5T which she is very tall. I used A very lg needled and bigger baby yarn and olive green and it fit her well. So when I change the needle and yarn I could make any size I wanted to. Thank You for these patterns I have made everything but sweaters. Nettie

Kellys Sweater

Easy Print PDF:Kelly's Sweater 6-9M

Simply Soft yarn, size G7 hook
Size ( to make larger use a larger hook)

edited January 2009: I have recently taken measurements of this sweater and compared to baby size charts and this sweater is larger than I thought, the new size is 6-9 months not newborn if made with a G hook and Simply Soft yarn.

Here are the measurements of my sweater:
Neckline: 12"
Chest: 19" measured under arm
Sleeves: 4" from under arm to wrist.
Sleeves SHOULD be 5" so add 2 rows to length.

Gauge of my sweater is 4 stitches=1 inch and 2 rows= 1 inch.
