Sweater Coat

This sweater has a fuller bottom than the regular Cardigan. I used Snuggly Wuggly from Michaels and a G hook. Snuggly Wuggly is now my new favorite for making sweaters.

Newborn size.

Guage:

4 sts to the inch, and 2 rows to the inch.

Chain 36
Row 1:
dc in 4th ch from hook and next 3 chs,
3 dc in next ch,
dc in next 5 chs,
3 dc in next ch,
dc in next 10 chs,3 dc in next ch,
dc in next 5 chs,
3 dc in next ch,
dc in last 5 chs.
ch 2, turn.

rows 2-5: dc in each dc across putting 3dc in center dc of 3dc group below. Ch 2, turn.

Row 6 will form the armholes, if you don't know how to do that click here.

row 6: dc across to center of first 3dc group, ch 4, skip across to next 3dc, dc in center st and each st across to center st of 3rd dc group, ch4, skip to last 3dc put dc in center of 3dc group and across to end. ch 1, turn.

Row 7: SC across, ch 1, turn.

Row 8: *SC in next 2 STS, work 2SC in next st* repeat *to* across. Ending with a SC in each of last 2 STs. Ch 2, turn

Row 9-19: DC across. ch 2, turn.

Row 20: sc across.

Trim:
Chain 1, work sc up front edge, 3 sc in corner, sc around neck, 3 sc in corner, sc down left side placing buttonholes where you want, 3 sc in bottom corner, sc across bottom edge, put 2sc in last corner, join to first sc. join. finish off.

Sleeves
Attach yarn at middle stitch underarm
row 1-9: ch 2, dc in each st around. Join.
row 10: ch 1, sc in each st around. Join, finish off.

Wool Baby things

I made these for a baby girl on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota. It is very,very cold there so I used wool not acrylic for these items. I love working will wool so I plan to make some more warm things to send her. The socks are made with Wool Ease that I had left from making a hat. The striped hat and mittens are made with a superwash wool I got in a swap. It is German and I cannot remember the name of it, the whole label was written in German, the only thing English was "superwash". And the purple sweater is made with Moda Dea Superwash wool that I got for a dollar at the dollar store.

Some of what I did last week

This Cape is made with Bernat Softee Chunky. I don't really like crocheting with bulky yarn.

This Hat is made with Red Heart and a G7 hook.


These are made with Red Heart Designer Sport.

Sweaters for the Drive

This is what I've got done so far. All the patterns are mine and in the side bar. The 2 dark pink ones are new and I still have to write down the instructions. All except the top one were done with Michaels Snuggly Wuggly yarn. It is now my favorite for making baby sweaters.
