Blanket Blitz 2010

I'm back from vacation and have decided on a new format for the Blanket Blitz.

For every newborn blanket you make your name will be entered for the prize. So the more you make the more times your name is entered.

The contest will run now thru September 30th.

I am looking for newborn size blankets. The smallest they should be is 30x30. If you are making a blanket that is rectangle then the smallest side should be 30". They should be crocheted, knitted or quilts. The only requirement for the contest is that they be handmade.

Maybe some of you could share your favorite baby blanket patterns. You can post them in the comments section of this post or email them to me and I will post them.

Challenge Complete

Hello everyone!! Well the challenge is over, I will be drawing the winner tomorrow.

We had 6 people meet the challenge out of 11 who signed up. Plus there was someone who ended up having shoulder surgery or there would have been 7.

Here is what we ended up with:

34 dresses

3 shirts

2 pair of shorts

14 onsies

26 sweaters

Plus the items that me and my Mom made. I am so glad my first contest worked so well. We will be having a Blanket Blitz for the summer months, I will fill you in tomorrow.

I got a box of beautiful clothes for the challenge from Chris Davis.

And yesterday I received a box of lovely baby things from Christine Knapp.

Last Week of Challenge

Hello!! The challenge/contest is winding down ladies. I went today and got some yarn for the prize box. Don't forget to send your 15 outfits to be entered.

I got another box today from Lynda also of Bellas Babies. I'll get the pictures up later.

First Challenge Items

I received our first outfits for the challenge. They were made by Anne who is a member of Bellas Babies. I have set up an album at picasa for sharing the pictures of what comes in. I am looking forward to getting lots of little going home outfits for the babies.

Challenge Deadline

It has occurred to me that I need to clarify the due date for the challenge.
I had said June 21st, but some have asked if that is the date to mail or to have it to me.
Well, here is the answer. If you wash the clothes before sending then you can send up to the 21st.
If it is unwashed then please have it to me by the 21st so I have time to wash it before delivering.
If you choose to wash it yourself (its not required, just helpful) please use only unscented detergent and fabric softener sheets (if you use them).
